Connect litz wire to copper blade | Electronics Forums

 · I'm trying to find a way to connect a AWG24 litz wire to a copper current blade 4.5 x 0.75 x 0.1 inch. Soldering by using a standard solder bolt doesn 't work properly because of the copper heat conductivity/capacity. I wonder if resistance welding or soldering might be a possible way? The process should be capable for large scale production.

How it Works – Wire EDM | Today’s Machining World

To wire EDM a thick part, which would not get much flushing water to the wire at the center of the work piece, you would use a high-performance wire, Pasquantonio said. It could withstand the heat, maintain consistency throughout the cut and resist breakage.

Rice needs two things to evolve from a hard, little grain to big, fluffy morsels -- lots of water and lots of heat. For this reason, cooking rice happens in four phases: Water and rice sit inside the cooking pan while it's inserted into the rice cooker's shell. The pan's weight depresses the thermal ...

Just The FactsOrange and GreenWho Knew?Current ResearchAdditional ResourcesIn electronics and electrical engineering, a fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide overcurrent protection of an electrical circuit. Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts when too much current flows through it, thereby interrupting the current. It is a sacrificial device; once a fuse has operated it is an open circuit, and it must be replaced or ...

The armature itself is made up of two separate windings of copper wire - the primary and secondary - one wound on top of the other. Basic physics tells us that when a magnetic field (flywheel magnet) cuts through (moves past) a conductor (copper wire), a flow of electrons (electricity) is created.
